DeLane L. Crutcher is the founder of No Retreat No Surrender Publishing and the author of The 13. A graduate of Otterbein University, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations in 2005, where he also pledged the Mu Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., dedicating himself to service and uplifting the community. He later earned his Master’s degree from North Park University in 2011.

For more than 20 years, DeLane has worked in higher education, helping students pursue opportunities through education, mentorship, and personal growth.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, DeLane’s life is also a testament to faith, perseverance, and God’s grace. After battling stage 4 colorectal cancer for more than seven years, he continues to inspire others through his resilience and unwavering belief in God’s purpose for his life.

Through his writing and publishing work, DeLane seeks to create stories that explore perseverance, redemption, faith, sacrifice, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
